About us

US-31

John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans”. Timeless wisdom. This same timeless wisdom brought us to a new chapter in our lives when we least expected. What began as a search for a home in the Kewadin area instead gave rise to the Michigan’s US-31 project. We searched for items with a US-31 theme but came away empty handed, it appeared the beauty and history of US-31 had become lost over time.

Michigan’s US-31 highway is the vine which gives life to the vine’s fruit. The fruit are those towns joined together by the tapestry weaved by Michigan’s US-31. These +400 miles of winding highway are special, magical. The beauty is what keeps us coming back!

For those of us lucky enough to live along this beautiful expanse of highway, Michigan’s US-31 gives rise to the likes of, St. Joseph, Saugatuck, South Haven, Holland, Muskegon, Ludington, Manistee, Traverse City, Elk Rapids, Charlevoix Harbor Springs, Petoskey and many others. The towns of Michigan’s US-31 represent the Backbone, the Beauty, and the Belonging of community and represents our collective Western Michigan family, of which US-31 is the common thread that connects all of us together. We want Michigan’s US-31 to foster a connected sense of community, of passion. We hope you will join us on our Social Media platform and proudly share what Michigan’s US-31 represents,

Prepare to be Amazed!
